These dates are pretty much fixed. I can, however, be a bit flexible depending on demand. For those approaching me with a ready made group of 4 to 6 I can be more flexible still.
Please email me to register your interest and I will put together a tour that will stretch you physically – but not unduly – and which will, I am sure, prove to be one of the most exhilarating and memorable holidays you have spent in years.
Prices
Prices depend upon the hotel in which you stay and the number of people on the tour. There is a seasonal variation in the price of Five Star Hotels but not the Mountain Huts.
The good news is that at the top end we have better hotel rates for 2010 than 2009. Guideline prices for 2010:
Five Star Tours
from CHF6,450 to CHF8,900 per sharing couple for a group of 4 people (ie 2 couples) – depending on hotel and season. This includes 6 nights in Luxury Five Star Hotel, breakfast, unlimited cable car and mountain railway journeys, all taxes and guide services. Tours begin and end in Zermatt.
The other good news is that single occupancy is generally half the rate for doubles.
Mountain Hut
CHF3,636 per sharing couple for a group of 4 people. This includes 3 nights in mountain huts (bed, breakfast and dinner), one of which is the Gornergrat Observatory at 3,100m and 3 nights in a comfortable 3 star hotel in Zermatt (bed and breakfast), all taxes and guide services. Tours begin and end in Zermatt.
Rates for single travellers are approximately half that of couples.
